What a piece costs

Prices first, so you know where you stand before you read anything else. Every figure is in USD, and every one of them is a starting point — the final quote depends on detail, background and usage.

Contact me on Instagram DM to reserve a slot on my waitlist!

  • Values include the character art plus a plain or gradient background.
  • Complex background prices and full illustrations are below the individual prices.
  • Each character added is charged the same amount as the individual art.
  • NSFW has an extra fee, charged depending on the difficulty.
  • Special discounts for VIP clients, a second purchase, or if you bring me a new client by recommending my work to your friends — ask me about it on DM!

Per character

Pricing Tiers

Each tier is one character, painted in full colour. Use the arrows on a card to look through more pieces at that size, and press a piece to open it at the size of your screen.

The values below may vary depending on the difficulty of the piece — and they are open to negotiation.

Most asked for

Complex commissions

Characters and a moody, fully painted world, priced as one piece.

For authors

Book covers

I design book covers as well as illustrate them — the whole piece, not only the art on it: the painting, the layout, the title and the type it is set in. If you are publishing, this is the one to write to me about.

Book Cover Design $300usd
The whole design of the cover. The art itself is priced on its own, from the tiers above.
Layout & Typography Fee $100usd
For art with text on it — the title of the book, or character names. The value of the art is not included.

Part of the way

Line & flat colour

Not every piece has to be finished in full rendering. Stop the work at either of these stages and the price is a share of the full amount.

Licenses

Every commission comes with personal use, printing the piece in your own book, and goodies made from it to give with your product. What is priced on top of the art is the design work around it — type on the art, or a whole cover.

Printing it in your book included
Prints inside the book, overlay pages, the cover itself. Seeing my work printed is worth more to me than a fee for it — all I ask is that I am credited.
Free Merchandise License included
For printed illustrations, bookmarks, or anything you want to give as a goodie or gift with your product.
Layout & Typography Fee $100usd
For art with text on it — the title of the book, or character names. The value of the art is not included.
Book Cover Design $300usd
The whole design of the book cover. The value of the art is not included.
Always mine
The right to show the finished piece in my portfolio and on social media — unless there is a reason not to (an unreleased book, a secret character), which we arrange before I start.

Payment

How you pay

I work only with PayPal, for better organisation. If you only have another payment method, we can discuss it.

Payment is made 80% to start the art and 20% after — or, if you prefer, 100% at the beginning.

We can discuss instalments too.

The method

How to commission me

  1. Send me a DM on Instagram

Message me at @yehsarts and we can discuss what you need, the deadline, the price and whether it is possible. I won’t bite you hahaha. Send me the references and descriptions of the characters or art you need — we’ll talk a little and I’ll send you an average price and a date with available slots.

  2. Joining the waiting list

After we discuss the order and decide on the date and average price, I add you to my waiting list and send you a link to keep track of how my commissions are going. Closer to the agreed date I message you again to confirm everything is okay.

  3. Start — 80% of the payment

I confirm the art idea is still the same and make about 2 to 4 sketches (depending on the variation and freedom of the idea) for you to choose from. We decide the final price together, and then you send me 80% of the payment so I can start — or the full payment, as some prefer.

  4. Changes are welcome

The faithful characteristics of the character usually appear in the rendering, but I am open to any suggestions for changes from the sketch onwards. I like sincere clients — feel free to talk to me about changes <3

  5. Receive

The finished piece arrives by magic post: a private letter with your illustration, a note written for you, and a link to download it at full resolution.

Publishing terms

  1. If you post my art, you need to tag me

It doesn’t have to be everywhere, but you need to tag me at least in the main publication — it is the best way to promote my work. Printing the piece in your book and using it on goodies or gifts that go with it are both included; for anything else you sell, ask me first.

  2. I can use the art to share my work

I can show the piece on my profile, and promote it as I want — in print, on Patreon, and so on. Of course, if there is a logical reason for not wanting me to publish it (a book that will be released, a secret character) I will not post it without permission, because I understand the situation — but this has to be arranged beforehand.

  3. Recommend me to a friend

If you know a writer friend, or someone who needs a wonderful art, let me know! I love making new friends and taking part in new stories, and you can be a door to that. I will be very grateful — and if you bring me a new client, you both get a special discount on your next commissions.
